We posted the first installment from Jason Goldwatch’s new video series featuring Pharrell and Karolina Kurkova a couple of weeks ago. Another set of videos have been released today — Miami in Miami, Young Buck in Cuba, Jay Electronica in Nepal, Pharell in Brazil, Too $hort in Oakland and Evidence in Venice.
“Time Pieces” are black and white, Super 8 mm, short films by director/photographer Jason Goldwatch that focus on his personal heroes and cultural icons. Textured, intimate and shot silent, Goldwatch shoots and also edits the film himself by hand, setting the images to ironic sound beds. In this, the first piece in the series, Goldwatch captures a moment in the lives of Renaissance man Pharrell and model Karolina Kurkova while they were on a photo shoot in beautiful Brazil.
