june 18 500x500

J. Cole isn’t too fond of first week sales projections for albums but hey, we love them and so do our readers (we think). June 18th was a big day in Hip-Hop as Kanye West, J. Cole, Mac Miller and Statik Selektah dropped new albums, giving all types of fans something to cheer about.

The first week sales projections are in and as many predicted, Kanye’s Yeezus will take the lead with sales of around 375-400k. But J. Cole won’t be too far behind as the HDD projections place him around the 300k mark. Here’s what the tally looks like:

Kanye West Yeezus 375-400k
J. Cole Born Sinner 290-315k
Mac Miller Watching Movies With The Sound Off 95-105k
Kelly Rowland Talk A Good Game 60-65k

Thoughts people?

UPDATE: New projections offer slightly different figures for Kanye and J. Cole. Peep them after the jump.

Kanye West Yeezus 360-385k
J. Cole Born Sinner 280-305k
Mac Miller Watching Movies With The Sound Off 95-105k
Kelly Rowland Talk A Good Game 60-65k

Cole had the best album, no doubt. But who didn’t expect Kanye to outsell him. Sales don’t define anything but how many people went to the store instead of sharebeast.

You guys are idiots if you think Mac Miller will only sell 100k. He sold 150k on BSP and his fanbase has more than doubled since then. Quit sleeping on him

yeah sales only count for TRUE FANS….cuz nobody cares about a fan that dont buy an album thats like buying fake J’s…if your a fan your getting the real deal, kanye has more fans & you get more fans from having better music!
