2 Chainz’ sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II: MEtime wasn’t a commercial success, whether he admits it nor not. But the lanky rapper is already busy recording his third album. In a recent interview with Jenny Boom Boom, Chainz revealed that the day his second LP hit stores, he was back in the studio working on the follow up and has the first single ready already.
“I’m already working on my third album, I have a single already. I never stop– The day my album dropped, I went to the studio.”
He also expresses his desire to work with some A-listers this time around including Jay Z, 50 Cent, Eminem and Andre 3000. He mentions that he’s already recorded new music with 50 but isn’t sure where and when it will come out.
“I always had it in mind that I was gonna put Jay-Z on my third album. I still feel like I have room to grow, I haven’t peaked out yet. It’s always exciting to get a verse or something from jay-Z for a new album. You’ve still got Eminem, you’ve got Andre 3000. You’ve got your ‘A’ list and then you’ve got your ‘A-A’ list. You’ve got your certain people that are very successful in the game right now– Drizzy, Wayne, myself, Ross, Sean…”
