The time has finally come. The 2013 American Music Awards have arrived!
As we reported earlier in the week, this year’s American Music Awards will feature a lot of awesome performances including the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, TLC, and many more. First up we have Justin Timberlake accompanied by a dope live band; this guy really knows how to put on an awesome show.
We’ll continue to update this post as each performance becomes available. Tune into ABC right now to catch the full show and to see which star will steal the spotlight. I wonder who TLC’s special guest will end up being? See all the performances after the break.
UPDATE: We’ve added Florida Georgia Line and Nelly’s performance of the remix to the very popular track “Cruise”. After that, rock out to ‘Ride Wit Me’.
UPDATE 2: Ri Ri hits the stage and puts on an energetic performance for her popular track ‘Diamonds’. Following her performance, Rihanna’s mother presented her with the Icon Award making for a memorable moment at this year’s AMAs. (Via Rap-Up).
UPDATE 3: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis electrified the crowd with their hit ‘Can’t Hold Us’ at this year’s AMAs. These guys are having a great night so far, and they certainly deserve it all.
UPDATE 4: The guy who’s name remains in everybody’s conversations these days, Kendrick Lamar steps up to bat and brings along TDE’s first lady SZA. K. Dot and SZA sparked their set off with a captivating performance of Kendrick’s ‘Swimming Pools’ and followed up with his Drake-less version of ‘Poetic Justice’. Vibe out with the King of (insert city here).
UPDATE 5: Lady Gaga and R. Kelly bring a presidential theme to their hot new track ‘Do What U Want’. Just like their SNL performance, this will likely be talked about in the days to come. The song is awesome regardless.
UPDATE 6: For the final performance of the night, the AMAs stage welcomed TLC and their special guest Lil Mama who performed Left Eye’s parts. If you didn’t know, Lil Mama played the role of Left Eye in the TLC biopic that aired on VH1 about a month ago. Turns out the special guest wasn’t J. Cole for ‘Crooked Smile’ after all. Rest In Peace Left Eye.
