All the promo, all the hype, all the tweets, all the trailers….it was ALL worth it. Ricky Rozay’s sixth studio album Mastermind is the #1 album in the country. He beat out Pharrell’s G I R L by a nice margin for the top spot. Rozay ended up with a solid 184,726 copies and Pharrell came out with 110,090 copies. Not bad numbers for either, but a tad bit surprising for Pharrell who had an incredible single. Congrats to both.
Ashanti’s new album Braveheart had a bit of a disappointing first week, coming in at 23,196 copies. Both Schoolboy Q and Kid Cudi suffered rough second week sales with their numbers going down 78% and 91% respectively.
