mastermind album cover

All the promo, all the hype, all the tweets, all the trailers….it was ALL worth it. Ricky Rozay’s sixth studio album Mastermind is the #1 album in the country. He beat out Pharrell’s G I R L by a nice margin for the top spot. Rozay ended up with a solid 184,726 copies and Pharrell came out with 110,090 copies. Not bad numbers for either, but a tad bit surprising for Pharrell who had an incredible single. Congrats to both.

Ashanti’s new album Braveheart had a bit of a disappointing first week, coming in at 23,196 copies. Both Schoolboy Q and Kid Cudi suffered rough second week sales with their numbers going down 78% and 91% respectively.

Talkin down on my nigga NavJosh when he ain’t do shit but keep a hunna gets you a suck a dick and fuck you you fuck boy.

Anyway, good numbers all across the board. Pharrell’s “Happy” single was available for quite awhile and was already purchased by most of the audience that would buy it waaay before the album dropped so his numbers make sense. Hopefully he has more hits from the album and continues to do solid numbers throughout the year.

Ross had a coo album but them numbers look like Def Jam scooped up a quite a few copies, Lol. The buzz wasn’t there to touch almost 2ook like that so they better buy some more 2nd week too just so the numbers don’t look hella fraudulent.

SMH, Ashanti did well for an indie act with no hit tearing up or even heating up the charts so congrats to her too.
