Beyoncé might have an urban smash with ‘Partition‘ but that didn’t come without controversy. One of the lyrics on the sexually explicit song was referring to Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern who is infamous for her affair with the then US President Bill Clinton. The lyrics on the song were termed questionable by some quarters of the media the day it was released in December last year. Bey sings the following lyrics in the song:
“He popped all my buttons and he ripped my blouse / He Monica Lewinski’d all on my gown.”
The 40 year old is obviously not pleased with it. In her first tell all interview with Vanity fair, Monica corrects Mrs. Carter’s lyrics:
“Thanks, Beyoncé, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’’d’.”
In the issue, Monica has gone into detail regarding her affair, the stigma she has faced since the incident, what her life could have been, her regrets, future moves and more.
