French Montana is releasing his new album MC4 on August 19th featuring the latest single ‘No Shopping‘ featuring Drake.
He made a promo stop on DJ Suss One’s show on Power 105 recently where he discussed smashing celebrities, coming up from DVDs & mixtapes, sound of his upcoming album, getting big features on his songs, if Drake intentionally dissed Joe Budden with the “Pump It Up’ reference on ‘No Shopping’, the next Fat Joe & Remy single where he’s featured again and more. Regarding guest appearances on MC4, he reveals that he has Chinx & Max B on a song on his album while another features The LOX.
At the 11 minute mark, Suss One asks French about his opinion on most New York rappers not sounding like New York these days. French had an interesting take on it — most of them haven’t made it big because they’re too stuck with the New York sound. French says even though he’s from NY, he had to go Down South to make people appreciate his music.
