Lupe Fiasco has entered a new era — one without a major label. He is set to release his new album DROGAS Light independently on February 10th via his own label 1st & 15th/Thirty Tigers.
He has been dropping music from LP on a regular basis, the latest being ‘Jump‘ featuring Gizzle. Today, he gave Beats 1 radio on Apple Music the green light to debut the much awaited ‘Tranquillo’ featuring Rick Ross and Big K.R.I.T.
If you remember, Lupe performed this song for the first time in Portland more than a year ago and since then, fans had been looking forward to hearing the proper studio version.
My verse for #Tranquilo which you will receive today is a personal prayer or manifesto to give you lucid direction in these troubled times.

The only reason for DROGAS Light is to give you that verse.

I’ve actually had the opportunity to listen to the entire album thanks to Lupe’s team and can promise you that you won’t be disappointed. Look out for my full thoughts on February 6th.
