Eminem Reveals Rick Rubin Executive Produced ‘Revival’; Dr. Dre Mixed A Few Songs

There is still no clarity about Eminem’s upcoming album Revival. There were rumors that it would drop today (Friday) but that hasn’t happened till now.

Shady is set to perform on Saturday Night Live tomorrow (watch the promo here) and fans will be hoping the album comes out right after the show but everything is still uncertain at this point. Em did an interview on his radio station Shade 45 with DJ Whoo Kid and Lord Sear a short while ago. Also present in the studio were Mr. Porter, Alchemist and Paul Rosenberg.

As Em’s interviews usually are, the superstar hardly gave any serious answers to Whoo Kid’s questions but he did praise his ‘Walk On Water‘ collaborator Beyonce saying “erverything she does is so perfect.” He also spoke on the current state of Hip-Hop, stating that he’s “liking the growth.” Whoo Kid also asked what kind of sound we will be hearing on Revival. He didn’t reveal much but did say that he’s not “the new Eminem” and is still “all the way same.” He continued by saying, “people ask me whether I’m Eminem, Marshall or Slim Shady on this album. It’s really a dumb question at this point.”

After a few more jokes, Eminem revealed that Rick Rubin has executive produced the album while contributing 3-4 beats. His longtime producer friend Dr. Dre contributed by mixing a few records on it.

UPDATE: The full interview is available now.
