T-Pain Interview on The Breakfast Club

After six years of wait, T-Pain has finally released his new album Oblivion which boasts of features from Chris Brown, Wale, Ty Dolla Sign, Blac Youngsta and more.

The singer stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to discuss his return to music, how auto-tune took over the industry, why he took a break from recording music, some of the artists in the game who inspire him (Sampha, James Blake), suing Young Money and Universal for past royalties, battling depression & drinking issues, why he needed to get away from music to spend time with family, how other artists stole his swag, and more.

He also addressed the opinion if Future took his style and ran with it. Pain says he doesn’t think so but Future’s fans probably wouldn’t like a collaboration between the two. He said Chris Brown and Trey Songz are the artists who make the best use of the auto-tune technology. Watch the full interview below.
