Lil Wayne is having some trouble with royalties and payment as far as his deal with Birdman’s Cash Money Records is concerned. It’s reportedly the main reason for the tension between the two and the delay behind the release of Tha Carter V.
But looks like Weezy is going to be on the receiving end himself. T-Pain via his company Nappy Boy Productions, has decided to sue the rapper’s company Young Money for unpaid royalties regarding his contribution to the hit song ‘Got Money‘ from Tha Carter V. Pain was featured on the song along with producing it as well. Tha Carter III has sold close to 4 million copies in the United States alone.
Part of T-Pain’s suit is also for his artist Young Fyre, who produced ‘How to Hate’ on Tha Carter IV but has not been paid anything yet. Back in May, T-Pain finally released the much delayed T-Wayne project with Weezy.
