Kesha Performs ‘Praying’ with Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Bebe Rexha & More at 2018 GRAMMYs

Before her performance at the 2018 GRAMMYs, Kesha revealed that she was nervous to perform her powerful song ‘Praying’ at the 2018 Grammy Awards. “When i wrote ‘praying,’ with ben abraham and ryan lewis, i just felt as if i had gotten a huge weight off of my shoulders,” she wrote about the song that was inspired by her drawn-out legal battle with Dr. Luke. “It felt like an emotional raw victory for myself, one step closer to healing. I never could have known what would’ve happened these past few years,” she wrote on Twitter.

The singer was involved in a legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke. In 2014, she filed a lawsuit alleging that he had drugged her and was physically, sexually and mentally abusive. Luke has denied the claims. Her label Sony denied Kesha’s request to be released from her contract but she had decided to move on and make new music.

Tonight, she took the stage at the GRAMMY awards to perform her song ‘Praying‘ with some help from Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Bebe Rexha, Andra Day and more. The track appears on her album Rainbow, which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album this year. Watch their moving performance below.
