Tory Lanez Returns To The Breakfast Club; Reveals Movie Based on Album Will Feat. 50 Cent

Tory Lanez released his sophomore album Memories Don’t Lie last week and now’s on a promo tour across major markets in the country.

The Toronto based rapper and singer stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to talk with Charlamagne Tha God & Angela Yee about meaning behind the title of his album, story behind Charlamagne giving the artist “donkey of the day,” how his sound is different from the rest, thoughts on ghostwriting & how it differs from collaborations, the Toronto music scene, being broke when he was coming up, collaborating with 50 Cent on the storytelling song ‘Pieces‘, making a movie around the album, and more.

Around the 30 minute mark, Tory explains that 50 has been almost like a mentor to him from whom he’s learned a lot and the upcoming movie based on the album will have the G-Unit general himself playing a character. Earlier today, Tory released the video for the Future-assisted song ‘Real Thing’.
