First Week Sales Projections for Anderson .Paak’s ‘Oxnard’ & ‘Creed II’ Soundtrack

This past Friday saw a lot of releases in Hip-Hop & R&B genre — both in album and singles categories.

Mariah Carey’s first new album since 2014, Caution is leading the pack at the moment with total first week units projected at 47-52k. A massive 40-45k out of that is expected to come from pure sales, giving us a fair bit of idea about her grown fan base. Anderson .Paak’s latest effort Oxnard featuring guest appearances from the likes of Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, is on course to move 33-37k in the first week (11-14k pure sales).

HDD also reports that the star studded Creed II soundtrack produced by Mike WiLL Made It is only expected to move 11-14k in the first week with just 1k coming from pure sales. The album features appearances from Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, 2 Chainz, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, ScHoolboy Q and more so this number is definitely lower than expected.
