There were several albums that released last week, including XXXTentacion’s posthumous set Skins and Gucci Mane’s Evil Genius.
We already have an idea about what XXX’s album is expected to do in the first week as far as sales go (150k). But we now have some numbers for Gucci’s last album as well, which features guest appearances from Bruno Mars, Kodak Black, Migos, Quavo, Kevin Gates, Lil Skies and more. HDD reports that Evil Genius is on course to move 54-59k copies in the first week with 5-7k out of that coming from pure sales. It is looking at a top 5 debut on the charts at the moment.
In comparison, the Atlanta rapper’s last album Mr. Davis released in October last year did 70k in the first week.
