PARTYNEXTDOOR brings out drake at sobs 500x500

PARTYNEXTDOOR Live had a stop in NYC last night which was the young Toronto native’s first time performing there. To celebrate the occasion, he brought out his boss, Drake for his verse on ‘Recognize‘. After the performance the OVO crew went to countdown until Drake’s 28th birthday.

Whilst OVO’s most recent signee Makonnen was performing his hit single ‘Tuesday’ (which the video for just dropped), it seemed that someone in the crowd made their way to front row to dap the artist. However it was immediately clear what his intentions were as he started to punch Makonnen and then ran away.

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, iconic Hip-Hop label Def Jam Recordings held a one of a kind concert at the Barclays Center last night. Both past and new artists on their roster took the stage to perform which included Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, DMX, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Jhené Aiko, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Warren G, EPMD and Jeremih.

Two of the highlights were Ja Rule bringing out Ashanti on stage to perform a few of their classics together including ‘Mesmerize’ and ‘Always On Time’ and DMX inviting Swizz Beatz to take us back to the golden Ruff Ryders era. Watch some footage below.
