Juice WRLD’s ‘Lucid Dreams’ Tops Apple Music & Spotify Charts Following His Death

On Sunday, the music world mourned the death of Juice WRLD, the rising Hip-Hop star from Chicago who was a rage among the young listeners of the genre.

The talented artist who was just 21 years old, died after landing in Chicago from Cali when he suffered a seizure while walking through the airport. The exact reason for the seizure has not been revealed yet. The news sent shock waves through the music community. Following his death, his biggest song to date, ‘Lucid Dreams’, has topped the daily charts for both Apple Music and Spotify.

On Apple Music, he occupies 5 of the top 6 positions: ‘Lucid Dreams’ (#1), his latest single ‘Bandit‘ feat. NBA YoungBoy (#2), ‘All Girls Are The Same’ (#4), ‘Legends’ (#5) and ‘Robbery’ (#6).

It’s a similar story on Spotify US where he holds 5 of the top 7 spots: ‘Lucid Dreams’ (#1), ‘Bandit’ feat. NBA YoungBoy (#2), ‘Robbery’ (#4), ‘Legends’ (#5) and ‘All Girls Are The Same’ (#7).

‘Lucid Dreams’ reached its peak position of number 2 in 2018 but with the new development following his untimely death, it will have a chance of shooting to the top position this week. The song is built around a sample of Sting’s 1993 song ‘Shape of My Heart’.
