UPDATE (Oct. 15): Nicki has revealed that they had a boy. She announced it while sharing some congratulatory cards she has received from her friends including Beyonce, Kim Kardashian & Kanye West, Karol G and more.

“Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world,” she said.

Previous story (Oct. 1): Nicki Minaj and husband Kenneth Petty have welcomed their first child together.

TMZ reports that Nicki gave birth on Wednesday in L.A. but the name or sex of the baby are not known yet. The rapper had announced her pregnancy on July 20th. “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” Minaj captioned one of the photos on her Instagram.

Last year, Minaj had surprised fans by announcing her retirement and desire to start a family in a since-deleted tweet. “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” she said.
