SZA Says She Has Finished and Shot a Video for Her Viral Song ‘Shirt’

SZA’s newest single ‘Good Days‘ has been scorching hot on the charts and feels like a surprise hit because it doesn’t have the typical ingredients of a commercial hit.

While the excellent song continues to rule streaming and starts to pick up on radio, another snippet from the singer went viral a couple of weeks ago. It also started when the TDE songstress posted a little dance routine on TikTok to an unreleased but infectious slow jam.

The yet untitled track, dubbed ‘Shirt’ by fans online got picked up TikTok users as a sound to their videos, leading to more than 1.5 million clips and counting. Fans have been demanding the release of the track and they will be happy to know that it is on track to see official release.

Appearing on CBS This Morning, SZA confirmed that she wasn’t sure if she wants to include the track on her album but seeing the response, she has now finished it and even shot a music video for it. Watch the clip below.

In related news, SZA has also partnered with TAZO Tea to fight for climate justice for Black, Brown and Indigenous communities. In partnership with non-profit American Forests, they are launching the TAZO Tree Corps: a paid, locally-hired workforce that will use tree planting and maintenance to combat climate change and create new jobs in disproportionately impacted communities. Applications are now being accepted here.
