After missing a year due to Covid, it was announced late last year that McDonald’s All-American game will take place March 2022 and will return to Chicago for its 45th anniversary of the game.
McDonald’s has announced today that Lil Baby will perform live during halftime of the 2022 All American Games on March 29 at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Games, bringing together 48 of the most elite boys and girls high school seniors in the country.
Said the Atlanta hitmaker on the announcement: “I’m excited to perform the Halftime Show, especially because I’m a big basketball fan and have respect for these players, knowing what it’s like to go hard in the paint on your craft and chase your dreams to be the best. The McDonald’s All American Games are legit and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
Lil Baby will take the court during halftime of the Boys’ Game which begins at 8:30 p.m. CST. Chicago also hosted the games 2011-2017. “No city has as much Games’ history, so it’s only right that we return to Chicago for our 45th anniversary,” said Elizabeth Campbell, Senior Director of Cultural Engagement, McDonald’s USA. “It’s special to think about the impact the Games have had over all these years – whether it’s for the athletes, their local communities, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the families that are supported by the organization.”
