Post Malone has released his new album Twelve Carat Toothache tonight. It serves as the follow-up to his 2019 album Hollywood’s Bleeding, which debuted at the number one spot of the Billboard 200 chart with 489k copies moved in the first week.
The singer has taken his time on this occasion, which is not surprising because almost 2 years went by in between dealing with the covid-19 pandemic. In recent interviews, the hitmaker has revealed that he went through a writer’s block before he found his groove again. “So every time I went to go pull something up on the piano role, I dragged a note to the same spot every time. And I was, “Oh man, this sucks. This sounds exactly the same as the beat I made five seconds ago,” he told Zane Lowe.
Twelve Carat Toothache is led by the single ‘Cooped Up‘ featuring Roddy Ricch and ‘One Right Now‘ with The Weeknd but there are other guest appearances on the set as well: Doja Cat who assists on the hit-worthy ‘I Like You’, Gunna, The Kid Laroi and more.
This also marks Posty’s shortest album since Stoney and sounds much less commercial than his previous efforts. Stream it below.
