Compton rapper, Roddy Ricch, is back with another hard hitting single, ‘Survivor’s Remorse’. The song comes in after much anticipation for an official release, spanning an absence of 2 years from streaming when his last mixtape Feed Tha Streets III dropped.

Featuring an all blue cover, the artwork is strongly in line with the emotion of track and themed around feeling the blues as part of a phenomenon known as Survivor’s Guilt. The track opens with a soulful gospel, choir-like influence and segues into a trap beat with Roddy’s soulful vocals, dipped in autotune.
In terms of the lyrics, the track sees Roddy reminisce and indulge in nostalgia; he talks about his regrets, his struggle with being perceived a certain type of way, and losing friends on this journey called life. In a vulnerable spot with this short track, Roddy also touches on themes of addiction, and how shaking it off might not seem like a big deal, but that it really is one.
