According to the UK tabloid The Mirror, Kanye West has recorded a version of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ as a tribute to the late great. They say he plans to perform the song in London where he is due to perform at menswear company Moss Bross’ 160th anniversary show. A source close to Kanye told the paper:
It’s pretty emotive. It’s Kanye singing from the heart – with synthesisers.
Kanye had previously mentioned Amy in a blog post back in 2008 after she reportedly dissed him. He laughed it off saying now he knew he’d ‘really made it’. He also paid tribute to her when he performed at the Big Chill festival earlier this month.
