What’s up HHNM readers? It’s that time again for our Saturday Spotlight series, where we shine the light on an upcoming artist(or 2). First off, I want to thank everyone who sent in submissions with the PROPER guidelines; we heard a ton of great music! Today we have 2 ‘spotlights’ that we want to showcase. The first one is from UK producer Dan Kent and the second one is from California artist/producer Paris Jones. Enjoy!
Dan Kent
Coming from the other side of the pond, we have UK producer Dan Kent for our first spotlight. Dan drops off ‘Feels Like Fire’, which will serve as the title track from his upcoming EP Feels Like Fire. Dan formulated the beat, Kuniva from D12 spits the first verse, Flexplicity spits the 2nd and Kof handles the hook. The SBTV presented video shows the story of a young kid confessing his love to his far-distanced dream girl. Check it out below.
Paris Jones
West Coast rhyme spitter Paris Jones is next up to bat. The very talented artist/producer linked up with popular femcee Angel Haze for his new single ‘Okay’, which he also produced. The hook and instrumental alone will force you to rewind this a few times. ‘Okay’ is off of his upcoming album You’re Invited to the Assassination Of Patrick Campbell by Paris Jones, which will be dropping soon.
