How’s it going HHNMers? Today’s Saturday and we’re back with a brand new edition of our Saturday Spotlight series featuring 3 very talented artists. The first one is Angelo Mota and his fiery new track titled ‘Pigs’, the second one is the soothing offering from Calez titled ‘Ceito’, and the last one is the lovely Adria Amaretto and her soulful tune ‘Breakdown’. Check em out after the break and enjoy!
Remember: We take submissions for this series. Please see the guidelines here.
Angelo Mota
Born in Baltimore and residing in New Jersey, first up is Angelo Mota and his lyrical demolition deemed “Pigs”. The trippy Roach P instrumental will capture your attention from the jump and with his Odd Future-sounding flow, Angelo destroys this new single from his forthcoming project The Good Life. Listen to this new track below and keep your eyes and ears peeled to this talented MC — 2014 is looking bright for the lyricist.
Calez
If you’ve been on the search for that realness, search no further — Calez is here to stay. With his timing and energy on point, the Chicago spitter gives us the title track, and the last single off his upcoming Ceito project. The talented artist/producer lays down an aged, simple beat that sounds like it was unearthed from the 70’s as to not take away from the lyrics and guitar solo at the end provided by Austin Farris. In essence, these are the cool, calm, and collected vibes Calez is sending out to the world. Take a listen below and be sure to cop the full Ceito project on May 13th.
Adria
The 3rd and final spotlight today goes to the beautiful Adria and her soul-filled track ‘Breakdown’ off of her new project Amaretto, which is dropping tomorrow (April 20th). The Bahamian native has an incredible voice that won’t allow you to stop listening — it’s almost hypnotizing. Only being 21 years old, I see a very bright future for this songbird. Take a listen to ‘Breakdown’ below and be sure to cop her new project Amaretto tomorrow!
