[Saturday Spotlight] – ALLiTiZ, Nikko Lafre, Abso The Great, Wes Tarte + RRose RRome

Good evening HHNMers. I apologize for being MIA as of late for our Saturday Spotlight series, but we’re back today with 4 promising artists who you will soon realize is worth your time. Today we’ll hear from ALLiTiZ, Nikko Lafre, Abso The Great, Wes Tarte and RRose RRome who all have great material for us this weekend.

Remember: We take submissions for this series. Please see guidelines here.

ALLiTiZ

First up is ALLiTiZ who drops off his long-awaited LP Forever Fictional. The nine-track project is a smooth listen to say the least, and features a combination of elevated raps and R&B-tinged tracks that steer far from the norm. In today’s saturated state of hip-hop, it’s important to be different and offer something unique, which is why from his name to his game, ALLiTiZ is deserving of your 25 minutes to hear out his full LP. Do yourself a favor below.

Nikko Lafre

Nikko Lafre returns to the Saturday Spotlight with a bass heavy trap record titled “Work”. The record was produced by the talented Johnny Rain and features the mysterious female vocalist London X. Nikko’s gearing up to release his first project since inking his distribution deal with 300 Entertainment titled The Reflection and has an optimistic release date of November 30th. Until then, Nikko will be dropping new tracks every Sunday so enjoy the latest below.

Abso The Great

Coming out of Brooklyn, New York next up is Abso The Great, along with “Dem Nuh Worry We”, the third single from his upcoming album The Uglylife. Abso grabbed features from G-Lloyd & PremeDaPrez for this Reggae-inspired offering and just like ALLiTiZ, it’s different, something you have to respect in 2014. Abso has a bright future and if this new track is a representation of The Uglylife, then we’re in for a treat.

Wes Tarte

The young upcomer Wes Tarte dishes off an upbeat, energetic track titled ‘D.O.T (Definition Of The)’ produced by Amiko Starz. Simply having fun on the track, Wes is reminiscent of a circa 2010 Odd Future anthem and that is far from a bad thing. Wes’ upcoming project  TheREVOLution is dropping on October 29th, but this new single should hold us over. Listen below.

RRose RRome

RRose RRome hits us with a new single titled ‘No Lie’ produced by one of Eminem’s latest additions M Phazes. RRome recruits Dyce Payne to assist him on the track who is widely known for his hook on The LOX’s ‘Trinity’ EP with ‘3 Kings’. RRome made quite an array of impressive moves over the summer which includes records with Sheek Louch and more. In other words, Brooklyn naysayer is here to stay and ‘No Lie’ oughta be enough evidence for you.
