Remember: We take submissions for this series. Please see guidelines here.
CJ TheFLii
CJ TheFLii’s upcoming project is titled SUPER-NATURAL and once you listen to this new song, you’ll have a better understanding of why. On the self-produced ‘Nice’ featuring LongLiveCarl of Hurt Everybody, he executes a strange but addicting style over his own choppy instrumental. The visual is just as mysterious and eerie too with CJ rapping in the rain through graphic effects. Check it out.
Tim Gent
Tim Gent hails from Clarksville, Tennessee and he reps it hard. His last project was called Clarksville Nights and the lead single from it features Drisana DeSpain and Case Arnold who is also from there. The name of the song is ‘It’s Like That’ and just like the music, the video feels genuine and even a little bit old school. Take a listen for yourself and vibe out. If you like what you hear, you’ll be glad to know that Case and Tim have more on the way soon.
Solomonilla
Maryland rapper Solomonilla released finally released MIM (which stands for Miami In March) after 9 months of hard work. It features Jake Sinatra and King Rose on 2 of the 11 tracks. The production demands a lot of energy vocally that Solomonilla gives almost effortlessly throughout. If you’re trying to blast some new music loud, look no further. Hear the project below.
Ritch P.
When you think of Las Vegas in Hip-Hop, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the death of 2Pac. Ritch P. aims to change that though by linking up with fellow Vegas talent Todd Zack Jr. (rapper) and G.Reed (producer) on ‘The Love’. It’s set to appear on Ritch’s forthcoming EP PrimeTime and will keep you interested for a while with a great bounce to the beat which both rappers float on. Take a listen.
Jay Verze
Last but not least, Baltimore’s Jay Verze drops The Vintage EP: 1995 on the 3rd anniversary of the release of debut project 21117. From the beat drop on the first song ‘On My Life’, you’ll be hooked and intrigued. He comes out swinging on aggressive production with a vicious and unapologetic flow that you’ll love. A stream and download are both available below.
