[Saturday Spotlight] – KHofMoScrill, Joe Young, Zero, Linzi Jai + Da Flyy Hooligan

What’s up? We’re back with one of our final Saturday Spotlight editions of 2015, which is surreal. This year we’ve done our best to supply you with not only the huge artists that we all love but some lesser known artists who deserve a look. This week we present KHofMoScrill, Joe Young, Zero, Linzi Jai and Da Flyy Hooligan. Enjoy!

Remember: We take submissions for this series. Please see guidelines here.

KHofMoScrill

First up is Pittsburgh rapper KHofMoScrill who recently released his Mo’$crill Hotel project. He has an affiliation with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang but did’t rely on any huge features to carry the project. It features only one guest appearance from Rel. If you’re into your melodic raps, be sure to listen to the Holiday Season Live premiere below.

Joe Young

Our second pick this weekend is Joe Young who is a German rapper, which we can honestly say we don’t see too many of. He will release Gone Till November as a Christmas present in 13 days and it will feature some big names like Raekwon, Dave East, No Malice and Cormega. Watch his video for ‘Don’t Fall’ below via AHH.

Zero

Thirdly is Philadelphia rapper Zero who is only 18 years old. He recently liberated a body of work called Paradise Campground which is 16 tracks long and features the likes of Tory Lanez, Huey Mack and more. The majority of the production is handled by fellow Philly native Andrew Meoray and on his beats, Zero switches his style from rapping to singing effortlesly. Listen below.

Linzi Jai

Florida based producer and artist Linzi Jai is mostly known for his work with Sylvan LaCue who we’re big fans of at HHNM. However, he recently displayed his talent in a 6 song EP titled Demo 9, which he made in just 3 short weeks whilst moving to NYC. He describes the sound as “rough and gritty”, perfect for the Winter time. You can stream the entire project below.

Da Flyy Hooligan

Last but not least is London MC Da Flyy Hooligan (a.k.a. Lamarrie Esquire) who recently worked with Westside Gunn on ‘Saville Row’, produced by Agor. It will appear on Lamarrie’s forthcoming album entitled SCUM _ Supreme Cut Untouched Magnificence, which is due sometime next year. The aggressive nature of the music is perfect for this time of year and will have you anticipating more immediately. Listen below.
