This past week was huge for Hip-Hop with 2 Chainz, Big Boi and Young Thug all releasing highly anticipated new projects. Now that more than a day has passed since their releases, we have some first week sales projections available.
2 Chainz leads with Pretty Girls Like Trap Music which is expected to sell 55k–60k units with 27k–30k of those being pure sales. Next comes Big Boi’s Boomiverse with 20k–25k including streams, 12k–17k without. Interestingly, Young Thugger’s numbers are nowhere to be found which means he has failed to hit the 20k mark. Ouch.
Lorde leads the week with her new album Melodrama, expected to sell about 90k first week.
