The release of Teyana Taylor’s new album K.T.S.E. has been controversial already. Last month she announced that she’d be releasing a finished version of the project with some of the missing pieces back in place. But last week, she updated fans that the plan has been cancelled and said that instead she’d present the newer versions of the songs via music videos.
A lot of clearance issues, shit takes time. At this point I will leave album the way it is & will just debut the extended records thru my visuals! https://t.co/rZ1GoLcuml

Teyana has now spoken a bit in detail about the album’s process on the Ebro In The Morning show on HOT 97. When asked why she wasn’t happy with how the album turned out, the G.O.O.D. Music singer told the hosts that she understands the sample clearing process is complicated but she couldn’t figure out why certain verses she recorded didn’t end up on the album when she heard it upon its release on digital stores and streaming services. Teyana reiterated that she was surprised to hear this incomplete version of the album. It almost sounded like she’s unhappy with Kanye and the team but didn’t want to say it outright. She talks about it in beginning of the clip itself. Watch it below.
Elsewhere in the interview, TT talks about her favorite songs on the album, her relationship with husband Iman Shumpert, threesome experiences and more. Earlier this week, we heard the final version of ‘We Got Love’ a song that was played at the album listening party and was supposed to be on the album but left out to her surprise.
