Yat is a company cofounded by Naveen Jain. A Yat is a unique combination of emojis that acts as a way to identify yourself online. These can be used as domains, usernames, NFTs and more.

Since launching in February, the company has sold nearly 160,000 Yats for a combined $20 million. This success and the concept has attracted big investors like G-Eazy, The Roots, Lil Wayne and Mack Maine, who spoke to Fortune a little bit about his involvement. He spoke about getting Lil Wayne on board, how the company’s new tools for web3 creators had him sold and more.

I got involved with Yat shortly after the launch in early 2021. I thought the concept was dope, and immediately locked down Yats for me, Lil Wayne, and Young Money. Everyone uses emojis to communicate, and this is a great way to use emojis to communicate who we are.
