Ja Rule Turns Himself Into Prison

Earlier in the afternoon today, Ja Rule appeared in a Manhattan courtroom and turned himself in to begin his two-year prison sentence on weapons possession charges. He now becomes inmate 07608730Q. Rule will spend about weeks at New York’s Rikers Island jail before being transferred to a different correctional facility upstate. If his behavior remains good, he could be freed in about 18-20 months.

He talks to TMZ about his plans in jail, after the jump.
