Lupe is literally on a roll these days. It almost feels like he has a very fixed idea in his head about where he wants to see his career in a few years from now. The cover for his upcoming album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Part 1 was revealed last night and today, we have some new details regarding this album as well as his next two.
Based on a report from the listening session by Village Voice, Food & Liquor II will have no guest features at all. Lupe also revealed that this album is about “figuring out America” and that most of it was recorded during Lasers studio sessions. Most of the content is also inspired by two books — Howard Zinn’s Speeches and Chris Hedges’s Days Of Destruction, Days Of Revolt.
After his next album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Part II, Lupe will release his last contractual album under Atlantic Records which is titled Skulls. The LP is already 80% finished.
