Ne-Yo ‘R.E.D.’ First Week Sales Projections

As you all know, Ne-Yo’s 5th studio album R.E.D is in stores now and already received favorable reviews from both fans and critics. But according to HDD, the album is set to move a modest number of 50-55k in the first week at retail.

Even though the lead single ‘Let Me Love You’ continues to reach new heights, the figure will result in Ne-Yo’s lowest debut to date. His last album Libra Scale which did not spawn any big hits on the charts managed to sell 112k in the opening week.

What do you think is the reason for the low number?
