Having sold millions of albums and singles world wide, Rihanna was the recipient of the first ever Icon Award at the 2013 American Music Awards tonight. After an introduction from Bill Maher, RiRi took the stage to perform her hit ‘Diamonds’ which was followed by a congratulatory video taped message from Jay Z.
Rihanna, who also won the award for avorite Soul/R&B Female Artist was presented with the Icon Award by her own mother Monica Fenty. Peep the footage below.
