Mariah Carey had an unusual campaign for her latest album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse. After failing to get a hit with a couple of attempts, she decided to go for a minimalistic launch which included dropping the title, release date, cover and track list all at once and giving only about 4 weeks notice before the release date.
The album, which is getting positive reviews from listeners, is set to sell an unimpressive 65k in the first week at retail. With that number, it is unlikely that she will top the charts but is pretty much set for a top 3 debut. Buy the album here.
