50 Cent released his 5th album, Animal Ambition independently after departing from Interscope Records earlier this year. The rapper went for a 11 week campaign where he debuted a new song from the album each week prior to the June 3rd street date. I enjoyed the music, but didn’t appreciate the rollout.
The album has sold 47k copies in the first week, earning a #4 spot on the Billboard 200. His last album Before I Self Destruct which was his last on Interscope moved 160k and debuted at #5.
