Things have changed drastically since the shocking incident at the 2009 MTV VMAs when Kanye West ambushed the stage while Taylor Swift was accepting her Best Female Video award. Taylor is now one of the biggest music stars of today and Kanye West continues to push boundaries of Rap music.
The two were photographed together at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards this past Sunday, exchanging some kind words with each other. Report now comes in (courtesy of Ryan Seacrest’s radio show) that the two will hit the studio together to record something soon. We are definitely curious to hear the finished product.
UPDATE: Below are some more quotes from Kanye’s interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning and the audio of the interview.
On Beck:
Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game. When I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came off the wrong way and that was a mis-wording on my part. Obviously Beck is one of the most respected artists, and respects artistry.
On his attempt to interrupt Beck at the GRAMMYs:
The voices in my head told me to go up. I don’t feel like I have the right to take away from people’s moments.
On The GRAMMYs not treating Black music well:
The Grammys are artists’ Super Bowl, and somebody’s gotta be mad that Marshawn didn’t get the ball. It’s not a black or white thing at all. Racism is a distraction to humanity – we are one race. We are the human race. Period.
On Rihanna’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’:
I sang FourFiveSeconds and Paul said it was great. Rihanna heard it and was not gonna be satisfied until she had this record.
On Yeezy Boost release with a fashion show:
We’re gonna show the fashion line 10 times and stream the show to 40 locations around the world. Just be patient. Everybody who wants to get Yeezys, will get Yeezys.
