CeeLo Green has kept it quiet ever since accepting a no-contest plea to a 2012 case alleging he had secretly put Ecstasy into a woman’s drink and then facing fans’ wrath after he tried to define “rape” on Twitter and later apologizing.
But the veteran artist has been busy in the studio working on a new album titled Heart Blanche, Atlantic Records CEO/co-chairman Craig Kallman revealed the news to Billboard. Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth and Mark Ronson are some of the artists he’s collaborated with during the recording sessions.
“We’re actually in the final stages of completing his album. He’s really been hard at work. We’ve got a big, big list of songs that we’ve been going through, and we’re kind of mixing the final songs now. We’re going to be imminently figuring out his marketing plan and single release schedule, and we’re looking at the fourth quarter [for release].”
