Looks like Apple is planning some major things for the launch of its revamped iTunes radio platform which will take on the likes of Spotify, Beats, Tidal and others.
New York Post reports that the music giant is planning to rope in Drake to serve as a radio guest DJ for a huge sum of $19 million. It is also in talks with Pharrell Williams and David Guetta for the same role. The reports also says that Apple wants to offer a three-month free trial period to customers for its $10 monthly subscription service and for that, it is in talks with various major labels to strike a deal.
Apple wants to combine special features of Pandora, Spotify and YouTube into one service which will include streaming music and video, artist pages, a YouTube-style sharing section called Apple Connect and a refreshed version of iTunes Radio.
