Dr. Dre, Eminem & Kendrick Lamar To Contribute On ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Soundtrack

Detox may be a far reality but that doesn’t mean Dr. Dre can’t give us any new music. The good doctor has been busy with the making of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton and more importantly, its soundtrack.

In an interview with MTV, the film’s director, F. Gary Gray said the soundtrack that Dre is overseeing is “insane” and revealed at least two stars who will be contributing to it — Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. Gary has been lucky to been bumping the soundtrack at his home.

“Dr. Dre, it took him 15 years to step out and say, ’I want to do music again’ in the way that he’s doing it. The soundtrack is insane. Seriously, it’s incredible. He went deep and you can hear some of his influences, with jazz and soul and a little bit of funk. And Kendrick Lamar is on, Eminem; a lot of great guest stars. But it’s really Dre and how he’s evolved and how he’s matured as not only a person, but as an artist. It’s deep and it’s great.”

If can watch two trailers for the film here if you haven’t yet.
