YouTube Terminates Top Dawg Ent Official YouTube Channel

UPDATE: The channel is back up now.

YouTube has terminated Top Dawg Ent’s official YouTube channel which hosted music and videos from their whole roster including Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and others.

A visit to their channel, which currently has no clip to stream, gives the following message:

Top Dawg Entertainment has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.

The exact issue is not confirmed but the main reason could be recent lawsuit by Italian photographer Giordano Cipriani who sued Kendrick and his labels TDE and Interscope over unauthorized use of his photo on the ‘The Blacker The Berry’ single artwork. He has alleged that Kendrick stole one of his photos of a mother breastfeeding her child and used it to promote his single. He now wants the court to stop him from continuing to rip off his work, along with damages for the unlicensed use of his photo amounting to $150,000 for each time the photograph was used.
