Gucci Mane hasn’t done a lot of interviews since being out from jail earlier this year — especially video ones.
But the comeback kid is finally off house arrest so he’s free to move around the country. The first visit he made was on Funkmaster Flex’s show on Hot 97. Looking fresh as ever, Gucci discussed hardships of jail life, how jail is different from prison, who he remained in touch with while he was locked up, having access to email in prison, having Young Thug and Migos under him at start of their careers, collaborating with young artists such as 21 Savage, Young MA, Lil Yachty & Lil Uzi Vert, finally being off house arrest, biggest change in the music industry, upcoming autobiography and much more.
Gucci also revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Waka Flocka Flame in 3 years and has no intentions to change that. Regarding the collaborative album with Drake, Gucci says that since the artists are busy with their respective endeavors right now, they are yet to find time to record properly but hopefully it will come out soon.
Gucci Mane’s new album Woptober hits stores October 17, you can listen to the first single ‘Bling Blaww Burr’ feat. Young Dolph here.
