40 Explains Kanye’s Name in Drake’s ‘Two Birds One Stone’ Song Credits

Social media has been talking continuously about Drake’s ‘Two Birds One Stone‘ song and that got bigger when it was revealed by Tidal, iTunes and other services that Kanye West was credited as a writer and producer on the song.

It made headlines because the song has clear shots at Kid Cudi (both Cudder and his manager have already responded) and possibly Pusha T as well. It seemed odd that Kanye would green light such a song even if it was recorded/done a while ago. But the song’s producer Noah “40” Shebib has now clarified the situation to Genius.

“Me and Kanye produced the track, I made it from some drums he had given me. Not quite the elaborate story the world is looking for.”

So there you have it. Kanye basically contributed to the production and that’s how he landed in the writer’s credits as well we presume. It is still an interesting situation since Kanye is credited on a song that has made the beef between Drake and Kid Cudi bigger than what it was earlier.
