Bruno Mars ’24K Magic’ First Week Sales Projections

Bruno Mars’ new album 24K Magic is in stores now and sounding pretty amazing. As I said on my Twitter, it feels like Pop-Funk on steroids to me.

As the album has been out for more than a day now, HDD has some early sales projections. It is expected to sell between 140-150k copies (110-120k pure sales) in the first week which will not be good enough to top the Billboard 200 chart. In fact, it may not even earn the number 2 spot as Metallica and Miranda Lambert are expected to grab those two spots with sales of approximately 260-280k and 15ok, respectively.

However, Bruno is set to make multiple TV appearances in the coming days, including 60 Minutes and American Music Awards so those first week numbers may go higher, something he would definitely hope.
