Rae Sremmurd continue to make waves as their single ‘Black Beatles’ has hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Gucci Mane-featured song was one of the standouts from their latest album SremmLife 2 and picked as a single two months ago. But it received a big boost when people on social media started using the song as the soundtrack to their Mannequin Challenge videos. Even the Beatle himself, Paul McCartney joined in the fun and did a viral video to the song.
The track rose from number 9-1 on the Hot 100 this week, making it the first number 1 for all three artists — Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane and the song’s producer, Mike WiLL Made It. As ‘Black Beatles’ has dethroned The Chainsmokers’ hit ‘Closer’, songs by duos reign back-to-back on the Hot 100 for the first time since OutKast’s ‘The Way You Move’ featuring Sleepy Brown succeeded its own Hey Ya!’ on Feb. 14, 2004, reports Billboard.
Congrats to the black Beatles!
