It’s been a few years since Rita Ora released an official single but she’s back now.
After teasing ‘Your Song’ for past two weeks, the Kosovo born beauty has now released the song in its entirety. ‘Your Song’ serves as the first single from her forthcoming sophomore album, the follow up to 2012’s Ora. It was co-written by the one and only Ed Sheeran.
“Your Song has everything I wanted to express: it’s a song that’s full of positivity and about feeling on top of the world, like everything is going right and that’s where my life is right now,” Rita said in a press release. “I loved working with Ed and Steve; it was incredible to really bring this idea to life with some of the most talented songwriters of our time. Ed and I have been friends since our teens, it’s brilliant to have the opportunity to collaborate with him for my first single, we definitely click creatively.”
“Don’t wanna hear sad songs anymore, I only wanna hear love songs, I found my heart up in this place tonight,” sings Rita on the happy, upbeat and radio friendly number that has a strong potential to do well. The song is now available in select international markets via Spotify (update: now out globally).
