DJ Khaled carries a lot of positive energy around him and has managed to establish some great relationships in the industry but when it comes to delivering albums, it’s almost always a mediocre ride.
His tenth studio album Grateful features some of the biggest names in town — from Rihanna, Beyonce, Jay Z and Drake to Travis Scott, Nas, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and numerous more. If you’ve read our review already, you’d know that we are not fans of the project as a whole but that won’t keep him for doing solid numbers in the opening week.
HDD projects that Grateful is set to move 135-150k copies in the first week out of which pure sales account for only 40-50k. This number should be enough to place him at the number 1 spot on Billboard 200 this week. Remember that individual songs’ streams are accounted towards the album’s total number as well so the success of his singles ‘Shining’ and ‘I’m The One’ on streaming services would play a huge part in boosting Grateful‘s final first week figures.
