Nathaniel Glover, better known as rapper the Kidd Creole from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, has been arrested and charged for murder in New York, TMZ and NY Daily News report. Glover, 57, was one of the members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, the Hip-Hop group formed in the South Bronx in the 1970s. It is known to be one of the pioneers of the genre. The group was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, the first Hip-Hop group to make the cut.
The victim was a homeless man who was tabbed multiple times in the chest and once in the head in Midtown. Police believe it was an angry reaction to the man calling Kidd Creole a gay slur. The victim was taken to the Bellevue hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
