Rapper Lil Peep, who started blowing up online in last few months, has died. He was best known for his songs ‘White Wine’, ‘Benz Truck’ and ‘Awful Things’.
Early reports suggest that Peep died after overdosing on Xanax and Fentanyl pills. The artist’s songs often had references to drug abuse and suicide thoughts. The New York-born artist, who was primarily based in London these days, is a member of GOTHBOICLIQUE alongside Lil Tracy, Mackned, Cold Hart and others.
Peep’s manager Mikey Cortez confirmed the death on his Instagram a short while ago: “I’m completely heart broken and lost right now. I can’t even feel it’s not real. I love you and I’ll miss you always. One of the realest. Please someone tell me this isn’t real.”
Ironically, Peep had posted the below photo on his Instagram just about 23 hours ago where he’s consuming Xanax and discussing death, saying “When I die You’ll love me.” There are initial reports that Peep died after an overdose before a show in Tucson, Arizona on Wednesday night but there is no official word on it yet.
Several artists like Riff Raff, Marshmello, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Yachty and more are offering their condolences.
